Vitality CBD Submits to Food Standards

Dumped Contaminated Face Masks Blight the UK Causing Health & Safety Nightmare

Vitality CBD has further demonstrated its ability to lead the way in the CBD industry, by submitting a Novel Food Application to the Food Standards Agency. This is seen as an important step for the industry and one which will be welcomed by the food standards body and CBD advocates alike. Phillip Glyn, the Commercial Director of Vitality CBD, discussed how submitting this application, along with the company’s raw ingredient provider, helps the UK CBD industry move forward. He said: “It is important for our trade customers and consumers alike, to know that Vitality CBD, together with our raw ingredient provider, are one of the first in the UK CBD industry to submit a Novel Food dossier, and are therefore leading the way in future compliance and regulation.”
The FSA has previously expressed concern towards CBD providers, with Emily Miles, the CEO of the organisation once stating that “the CBD industry must provide more information about the safety and contents of… products to the regulator… or the products will be taken off the shelves”. This outlook is supported by the Birmingham-based company, who is looking to further educate and expand both its workforce and consumer base. A statement from Vitality detailed this support, reading: “Vitality CBD is ahead of the curve, already offering consumers the option to view the independent lab results of each batch of CBD contained in every product they retail. Vitality CBD’s marketing has always been focussed on consumer safety and product transparency, so these latest regulations are more likely to affirm Vitality’s already strong market position, rather than unsettle it.” Vitality CBD can be found on the shelves at Tesco, Boots, Lloyds Pharmacy, Sainsburys, Ocado and it is listed on Amazon UK as part of its global trial of CBD.
